Marital Settlement Agreement? How can I specify that all assets acquired after agreement shall not be divided?
My husband and I are separating, not getting divorced (at least not now). I would like to have a contract stating that we have decided to separate, and that any and all money and assets acquired, after our decision to separate, shall remain solely of the party that acquired the money or assets. Would this be a marital settlement agreement? Do I need to add a specific clause? Or would it be another type of agreement? Thank you.
If you want to protect yourself, don’t make your assets available to him, however if you feel this way, just get out. You don’t trust him obviously, so get out.
To answer your question, you need a lawyer in your state.
